AYER PUBLIC LIBRARY DISTRICT

208 Locust Street ~ Delavan, Illinois 61734 ~ 309-244-8236

Helen McKinstry's Room, or The Children's Room, is located in the lower level of the library. This child- friendly area welcomes youngsters of all ages to come in, sit and read a story book, work on a puzzle, color a picture, or play with puppets. A rocking chair offers a comfortable place to rock and read.

We have collections for all reading levels. Board Books and Easy Readers tend to have more pictures and are great for reading aloud.  K-3 level books introduce more reading skills while 4-6 level books are geared toward elementary grade reading levels.

Our Young Adult section is home to many classics as well as current best-sellers, including those which have been turned into movies including The Hunger Games, Divergent, and Twilight.
